Trade Aid is a New Zealand organisation founded in 1973. Trade Aid currently has 32 retail stores across the North and South Islands. There are no retail outlets or offices outside of New Zealand and therefore all advertised vacancies and volunteer positions are based in New Zealand.

Trade Aid uses a mix of volunteer and paid staff throughout the country.

          Volunteer Film guru - Christchurch

Do you have experience making films? Want to volunteer some time to help Trade Aid create some short films (30 seconds to 1 min in length) for Trade Aid's Fair Trade Fortnight celebrations in May 2009? We can help with the script and leave you to get creative... get in contact - julia.capon@tradeaid.org.nz

PR Guru - Nationwide

Do you work in PR? Trade Aid is looking for someone who believes in what we are doing and would be willing to help pitch stories to national media on a pro-bono basis. This would suit someone already working in PR (who is already pitching stories for numerous clinets) or someone with the relevant skills and contacts who is willing to spend a few hours a month over the coming year helping Trade Aid to maintain its presence in the media.   If you are interested please contact:  get in contact  julia.capon@tradeaid.org.nz

Retail volunteers:

There are many Trade Aid shops who are short of retail volunteers, others have too many volunteers and have a waiting list. If you are interested in volunteering in retail, fill in the volunteer application below and your nearest shop will contact you.

Education volunteers:

Volunteers interested in education can always become part of a team immediately. This work may include being part of a team who presents talks to community groups, runs activities during promotional periods or mans stall at markets etc. If you are interested in volunteering in education, fill in the volunteer application below and your nearest shop will contact you.

Trustee volunteers

Trade Aid shops are governed by charitable trusts and are always looking for people with a variety of skills to bring to the governance team. If you are interested in volunteering as a trustee, fill in the volunteer application below and your nearest shop trust will contact you.

Importing Company and Warehouse volunteers

Trade Aid Importers operates offices and a warehouse in Christchurch where all stock is received and dispatched from. Positions become available from time to time in a variety of administration and warehouse roles. If you are interested in volunteering at TAI, fill in the volunteer application below.
